Educational and Professional Background
Lynnette Wheeler is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Western Washington University in 1990. She also received extensive educational training and internship in chemical dependency treatment. Lynnette's professional experience includes inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, the university counseling center, on site school and home services for at-risk youth and their families and private practice. Additionally, she has taught both Psychology and Sociology classes at community colleges. Lynnette continues to explore postgraduate training in several areas, including eating disorders, trauma recovery, PTSD, brief therapy, children and woman's issues.
Areas of Special Interest
Lynnette treats children, adolescents, and adults. Marital and family systems are also explored as needed. Areas of clinical interest include the following:

Lynnette enjoys spending time with family, gardening, reading and learning, and loves animals of all kinds.

From 1-5, take exit 254 (State Street Ohio Street), turn right onto Iowa Street. Travel east on Iowa Street approximately 1/2 mile until you get to the Iowa Business Center, where my office is located.
