Educational and Professional Background
Jamie Ross, MS, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She received her BA in Psychology from Western Washington University in 2002 and her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University in 2005. Jamie has a wide range of experience with children, adolescents and their families that she has acquired working in Community Mental Health. She received her Child Mental Health Specialist certification in 2008 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2009.
Jamie employs techniques from family systems theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic and interpersonal therapies. She is trained in art and play therapy, which she incorporates into her work with children. She works hard to support parents and caregivers, with an emphasis on improving communication and using effective parenting skills. Jamie also works individually with adults and specializes in treating women with mood disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Personal Interests
Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters, hiking and camping. As a birth doula she supports women and their families through the pregnancy, birth and postpartum process. Jamie loves yoga, knitting and reading.

Heading either North or South on I-5 take Exit 250 Fairhaven Parkway. Go west on Fairhaven Pkwy toward the bay for approximately 2.5-3.0 miles. Turn right at the light on 12th St. Turn left at the next light on Harris Ave.
